Garrett is all boy. He loves to ride bikes and motorcycles, get dirty, play outside, be a super hero or a Jedi knight, fight bad guys and act like he is so tough! Then he will forget how tough he is and cry when he hurts his foot or his feelings.

Lately he has picked up this new slang word freakin. "Mom that is freakin awesome!" Garrett acts tough but his prayers are so tender and sweet. He often says how he is thankful for his friends or his teachers or how he loves Jesus. Once in a while he will say how much he loves his mom or dad. One night he prayed, "Thank you for my mom's beautiful heart." It was so sweet I almost cried. Every once in a while he would pray that same sweet prayer and it would bring a little smile to my lips or tear to my eye. Then the other night without thinking he says,

Dear Heavenly Father,
"Thank you for my mom's freakin beautiful heart. It is so freakin beautiful. " I almost laughed and gasped at the same time. When he had finished I thanked him for that nice prayer. I told him how happy it made me that he loved my heart. Then I said ,"But next time you pray you need to leave out the word freakin because it is not a very reverent word. He looked surprised and asked, "I said freakin?" He had not even realized he had said it!
